Eden
My name is Eden Orr and I will be one of the camp leaders this year for Adventure Time
Camp4Kids! I am currently in the Education Program at UBCO studying to be an elementary
school teacher. I have a strong passion for working with children and creating an environment
where they are eager and excited to come to camp each day. I have worked at two different
summer camps in my hometown, Trail B.C and have also worked as a dance teacher for several
years. During my past experience working at summer camps, I have made it my goal to ensure
that my students feel safe, valued, and included. I believe that summer camp is a place for
children to have lots of fun, learn, meet new people, and try new things. My goal is to make
camp as fun and exciting as possible as well as make sure parents feel comfortable dropping
their kids off at camp! I look forward to meeting everyone and can’t wait to start Adventure Time
Camp4Kids!
Nicole
Hello! My name is Nicole Smith and I will be one of your camp leaders this summer for
Adventure Time Camp4Kids! Along with Eden, I am also in the Education Program at
UBCO studying to be a high school science teacher! I have worked multiple summer
camps back home in Trail, BC, along with many years of coaching gymnastics. I’m so
excited to be part of the team at camp this year! I’ve always had a passion for working
with kids and creating spaces where everyone feels welcome, safe, and ready to have
fun. Whether we’re playing games, exploring nature, or just sharing laughs, my goal is
to help every camper feel included and supported. I love bringing energy, creativity, and
kindness to everything I do, and I can’t wait to make amazing memories with you all this
summer!

Hello! My name is Alex Gierlecki, and I’ll be one of your camp leaders this summer at Adventure
Time Camp4Kids! I’m currently studying nursing, and I’m excited to bring my passion for helping
others to the camp this year. I moved from Vancouver to Kelowna, and when I’m not studying,
you’ll find me skiing, dancing, or enjoying the great outdoors!
I’ve had the privilege of being on teams and working with others, so I know how important it is to
support each other and work together. My goal this summer is to focus on teamwork, meeting
new campers, and of course, having lots of fun! Whether we’re exploring the outdoors, dancing,
or going on an adventure, we’re gonna have the best summer ever!
Restum - Owner & Director
Hi, I’m Restum Shakiri, the Owner and Director of Adventure Time Camp4Kids in Kelowna, BC,
and I’m thrilled to invite your child to join our camp family! My mission is to empower young
adventurers like yours through inclusive community-building, outdoor exploration, and personal
growth. I’ve designed this camp to be a safe, welcoming space where kids aged 6-12 feel
valued, form lasting friendships, and grow as leaders while fostering a love for nature, healthy
living, and social responsibility. Camp shaped who I am, and I’m passionate about ensuring your
child has an unforgettable experience through the incredible team of counselors I carefully
select.
I bring years of experience working with children to my role as the owner, which helps me
choose the best counselors, activities, and experiences to guide your child. As an Educational
Assistant and on-call Substitute Teacher with the Wellington Catholic District School Board in
Guelph, Ontario, I’ve supported students by tailoring learning strategies to their unique needs
and creating a nurturing, inclusive environment. In the classroom, I’ve managed diverse groups,
ensuring a positive space where every child thrives, thanks to my strong communication and
adaptability. I also spent several years teaching dance at two wonderful studios in Kelowna. At
Kelowna Dance & Performing Arts, I taught kids aged 5-17 styles like hip-hop and breakdance,
fostering a fun, encouraging atmosphere. I also led sessions and summer camps at Creator’s
Arts Centre, Kelowna’s non-profit dance school, where I focused on sparking creativity and
teamwork in every child.
With this background, I’m dedicated to handpicking counselors who share my passion and
values, ensuring they create a camp experience that builds your child’s confidence, connection,
and love for the outdoors. I can’t wait for your little one to make lifelong memories with us at
Adventure Time Camp4Kids!
